BettingJobs is seeking a talented Head of Quantitative Analytics with a passion for sports and statistics to join our client’s expert team in Malta or France.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leveraging data to craft and expand new betting markets, with a special focus on prematch, live betting, and betbuilder functionalities.

This role involves statistical modeling, data analysis, and a deep understanding of odds in sports betting.

Keys Responsibilities:

• Develop and Enhance Mathematical Models: Focus on odds calculation and risk management across various dimensions, including in running (live betting), prematch, and betbuilder scenarios. Your expertise will drive the accuracy and sophistication of our clients betting odds.
• Platform Development: Spearhead the creation and upkeep of a robust platform designed to host sports mathematical models. This platform will be instrumental in generating betting odds for both live and prematch offers, ensuring our clients technology remains at the forefront of the betting industry.
• Leadership and Mentorship: As a pivotal member of the Global Sports Quants team, you’ll mentor junior members and lead their development. You’ll supervise and guide the work of colleagues to ensure tasks are completed with precision, efficiency, and punctuality.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with the trading team to price and manage new betting markets effectively. Partner with tech teams to seamlessly integrate models and markets into our betting platform, enhancing the service offerings.
• Competitive Analysis and Research: Maintain market competitiveness by conducting thorough competitor analyses. Engage in continuous research and development to refine our betting models and methodologies, staying ahead of industry trends.
• Tool Creation and Maintenance: Develop and sustain visualization and analysis tools for stakeholders across the business, providing insights that inform decision-making and strategy.

Requirements:

• A Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field or Ph.D.
• Proven experience in a quantitative role within sports betting.
• Experience in developing and implementing betting models for prematch, live events, and betbuilder systems.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, probability theory, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with cloud-based platform.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
• Familiarity with sports and betting industries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate betting models into technological platforms.
